In a large bowl, beat the whole egg and yolk with the sugar until light and fluffy. Add the soft butter and mix well.
Then add the flour, cornstarch, baking powder and a pinch of salt, stirring until smooth. Finally, add the grated orange zest and orange juice, to give a fresh and fragrant touch!
Resting the dough:
wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let it rest in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. This will help make it easier to roll out and work with.
Roll out and shape the slices:
Once rested, roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface. With a rolling pin, obtain a thickness of about 1 cm.
With a knife or pastry cutter, cut out slices of the shape you prefer, square or rectangular. If you want an extra touch, you can also make small round cookies.
