Orange shortcrust pastry slices with chocolate and almonds

Nutella and almond filling:
Spread a little Nutella on half of the slices and sprinkle with flaked almonds on top. Add the second slice on top like a “sandwich” and press lightly to seal the edges.
If you like a little extra crunch, you can also brush the top with egg yolk and sprinkle with a little sugar before baking.

Baking:
Place the slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 180°F (350°C) for about 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
Once ready, allow them to cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Presentation:
Serve the orange shortbread slices with chocolate and almonds as a delicious snack, perfect to accompany a tea or cup of coffee! You can also wrap them in a nice gift paper to give to your friends and family!
