Dough Preparation:
In a bowl, dissolve the yeast in the warm milk and sugar. Set aside for about 10 minutes, or until the dough is foamy.
In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt. Add the milk, yeast, water, and softened butter.
Knead until smooth and soft. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour; if it is too dry, add a little more water.
Rising:
Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let rise in a warm place for about 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size.
Shaping the Rolls:
After rising, degas the dough and divide it into 8-10 equal pieces.
Shape each piece into balls and flatten them slightly.
Frying:
Preheat a non-stick pan over medium-low heat.
Fry the rolls for about 3-4 minutes per side, covering the pan with a lid to retain moisture and add fluffiness.
The rolls are ready when they are golden brown on both sides and perfectly cooked.
Serving suggestion:
Before serving, place the rolls on a wire rack to cool slightly. They are perfect for stuffing with cold cuts, cheeses, or even eating on their own.
Enjoy!
