The animal may stay for several minutes leaning its head against a wall. There are several causes for this behavior. It may be an inflammation of the brain ( encephalitis ), a neurological disorder ( epilepsy, tumor, meningitis ), poisoning ( household products, toxic plants ), an unnoticed head trauma, a stroke ( vascular accident ) or even intracranial hypertension.

This syndrome is therefore not to be taken lightly. If you see your dog doing this, you must quickly take him to your veterinarian. This will allow him to be examined and diagnose the real problem. But why does a dog or cat push its head against a wall? It’s simply a way for it to relieve its neurological pain.
