I finally learned how to use the detergent drawer properly – and it completely transformed my laundry

For years, I thought I knew how to do laundry. Like most people, I’d put a load in the washing machine, pour in detergent, press a few buttons, and get out. But no matter what brand of detergent I used, my clothes often came out dull, stiff, or with that faint, musty smell that never really went away.

Only recently did I learn something surprising – the problem wasn’t the detergent, the washing machine, or even the water. It was   me.   Or more precisely, how I was using the detergent drawer.
