Ingredients
2 cups pretzel sticks (about 7 ounces)
1 cup (8 ounces) unsalted
butter 1 cup (7 ounces) pressed brown sugar
1 cup (5 ounces) chocolate
chips 1 cup (3 ounces) chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare the base:
Place the pretzels in an even layer on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.
2. Prepare the caramel:
In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the brown sugar and mix well.
Bring the mixture to a boil and cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring constantly, until the caramel becomes smooth and thick.
