Once seated, our eyes naturally gravitate towards what reassures us: the dishes, the prices, the overall atmosphere. Nothing could be more normal! But certain reflexes betray a slight tension. Grabbing the menu with a sigh, commenting on the prices before even reading the options, or only glancing at the price list gives the impression that we’re already dreading the bill.
Yet, a more relaxed pace is all it takes: read the descriptions first, let the server present the daily special, and remember that no one expects culinary expertise from us. A restaurant should remain a place of enjoyment, not an exam.
