ingredients
For the cones:
12 sheets of puff pastry (you can easily find them in the fridge or frozen section of your regular store)
1 beaten egg (this will give us a golden and shiny touch)
For the custard:
2 cups milk
1 vanilla bean (or equivalent in vanilla extract)
4 egg yolks
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup cornstarch
a pinch of salt
Steps to follow
1. Preparation of the custard:
Heat the milk together with the vanilla in a saucepan over medium heat, without boiling it.
In a separate bowl, combine the egg yolks, sugar, and cornstarch until smooth.
Gradually add the warm milk to the yolk mixture, whisking constantly.
Return everything to the heat, cooking and stirring until the cream has thickened and has a smooth and creamy consistency. Book and let cool.
