Now that you have all the ingredients at hand, here’s how to make this delicious tangerine cake:
Break the cooled eggs into a deep bowl, add the sugar, vanilla sugar and a pinch of salt. Beat everything with a whisk or mixer for 3-5 minutes, until the mixture becomes smooth and begins to form a light foam.
Add the melted butter at room temperature to the mixture and mix well until smooth.
In a separate container, sift the flour and add the baking powder. Combine the dry ingredients with the liquid mixture and mix thoroughly to ensure you break up all the lumps.
Now it’s time to prepare the tangerines. Peel them and remove the seeds, but you can leave them as “natural” as possible. You can also dip them in sugar if you want an extra caramel crust while baking.
