Guidelines:
Get the apples ready:
- Peel, core, and thinly slice or chop the apples into small pieces. Peel them if you’d like, or leave the skin on for added fiber.
Prepare the Apples:
- Slightly sauté the apple slices in a nonstick pan over medium heat until they soften and start to caramelize. If you would want a softer texture, you may also steam the apples.
Include Cocoa Powder:
- After the apples become tender, take the pan off of the stove and scatter one or two tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder on top of the apples. To uniformly coat the apples in chocolate, gently stir.
Extra Taste Boost Option:
- Try enhancing the flavor with a few drops of lemon juice or a pinch of cinnamon for an added kick.
Warm Serving:
- Warm apples and cocoa mixture are to be enjoyed. This easy recipe works well for breakfast, a snack, or dessert.
