Ticks don’t just show up fully formed. Keep an eye out for tick eggs—tiny, reddish-brown clusters often found in shaded garden areas, especially in leaf litter or tall grass. These eggs may look harmless, but each one holds the potential to become an adult tick.
When I discovered a cluster in my garden, I grabbed gloves and a jar filled with rubbing alcohol. Scooping the eggs inside, I destroyed them immediately to prevent an outbreak.
