Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water.

Transfer eggs to ice water and let cool completely before peeling.

Peel the eggs and slice them in half lengthwise.

Gently remove the yolks and place them in a bowl.

Mash yolks with a fork and mix in mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar/lemon juice, salt, and pepper until smooth.
3.Β Assemble the Deviled Eggs:

Spoon or pipe the filling back into the egg white halves.
