Baked potatoes with garlic and butter

Preparation:

  1. Prepare the potatoes:  Wash the potatoes thoroughly and cut them in half or quarters depending on their size. If you are using small potatoes, you can leave them whole.
  2. Prepare the garlic:  Peel the garlic cloves and cut into thin slices or chop finely.
  3. Preheat the oven:  Preheat the oven to 200 °C (fan oven).
  4. Melt butter:  Melt the butter in a small saucepan or in the microwave.
  5. Season the potatoes:  Place the potatoes in a large bowl. Pour the melted butter and garlic over the potatoes. Mix well so that all the potatoes are evenly coated. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Baking:  Place the potatoes on a baking tray lined with baking paper and spread them out evenly. The potatoes should not be on top of each other so that they cook evenly.
  7. Baking time:  Bake the potatoes in the preheated oven for about 35-45 minutes, until golden brown and crispy. Turn the potatoes once or twice during baking to ensure they cook evenly.
  8. Serving:  Remove the baked potatoes from the oven and sprinkle with fresh herbs. Serve immediately and enjoy!
