Poor circulation: a danger to your feet

The heart pumps blood throughout the body, including to the feet. However, when the arteries become partially or completely blocked, blood flow decreases and the tissues no longer receive enough oxygen. This is called peripheral arterial disease (PAD) and primarily affects the legs and feet.
