2. Close the curtains
Between a deep wash in the washing machine or a vacuuming session, you can freshen up your curtains by giving them a few swipes with a tool as new as it is effective: a towel.
Towels are heavy enough to help us wipe away dust, but not so heavy that they tire us out or put our joints at risk.
Additionally, the fibers of the towels will collect dust and dirt that falls from the curtains. Once you are done tapping the curtains, wash the towel and vacuum around the area to remove any debris.
3. Vacuum twice
Before you go straight to the corners of the room and vacuum, vacuum the most heavily trafficked areas as you enter the room. This way, you will have vacuumed twice when you are finished.
This method allows us to eliminate most of the dust during the first pass, and any residues during the second.
4. Let the cleaning products work
Hotel managers know that cleaning will be quicker and easier if you give products time to do their job. The ingredients in cleaning products, whether natural or chemical, need time to penetrate the dirt and help remove it.
Leave the products to act for about ten minutes on the dirtiest surfaces, such as the toilet, the hob or the carpets.
